Thou shalt not rape and impregnate children and then throw their babies into Lake Michigan.

Thou shalt not let a person who does such things rule your country.

Feels like this should go without saying.

Next to the President’s name.

The WH has now taken over the social media account of the DOJ to protect him.

This is pretty egregious when you look at the actual context of the quote. And people are praising that book?
A small (personal) example of this book’s intellectual dishonesty:

My father-in-law is reading In Covid’s Wake, and excitedly told me he found a passage where I’m quoted. The quote in question is me saying the FBI worked to censor speech on social media.

Huh? When did I say that?!

After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Corporate greed that would make even Scrooge blush.

This Christmas Eve, let us remember that it wasn’t the CEOs and billionaires who saved us during COVID-19. It was the janitors, nurses, cleaning crews, grocery and food workers with their hard, often invisible labor.

President Free Speech has struck again!
Trump wants to cancel TV licenses because he doesn't like what late night TV hosts are saying about him.

What happened to "stop cancel culture" and buck up "snowflakes?" And what happened to the First Amendment?

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

And 1 million Epstein files appeared from thin air

What we’re being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldn’t possibly be a sexual predator.

Clinicians who actually saw the horrors of COVID (and didn’t get infected, because masks fucking work 🤷🏻‍♂️) are pretty pissed at this. Especially the @newyorker.com - I expect better 🤦🏻‍♂️
The thesis of the book is that early COVID lockdowns weren't worth it and mid-COVID mitigation measures like masks, contact tracing and business closures don't work.

This is laughably false and the authors have endorsed the people now running Trump's HHS.

I've now watched the censored 60 Minutes report on CECOT. If you watched it too—and if you have any decency at all—I'm sure you came to the same conclusion I did: winning elections won't be enough; people like Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem will need to be charged and imprisoned.

From March of 2020 into March of 2022 (when I left bedside), I had to be extra cautious working with my sicker patient. I’m a type 1 diabetic. If I get sick, it’s worse, lasts longer & my blood sugars are uncontrollable.
I still showed up to work every single day to care for my pts. Fuck these guys
In 2021 I dressed in full PPE and held my phone to an intubated 45 year old man's ear while his daughter said goodbye to him.

I truly don't believe in hell but sometimes I wish I did.
This is genuinely horrifying. Fact-free far-right agitprop given accolades by credible media across the political spectrum.

Everyone involved in the publication and promotion of this book should be embarrassed. It's not a "harsh truth" that COVID mitigation was a mistake, it's ghoulish and false.

The rich and powerful don’t get their wages garnished when they default on a loan. They declare bankruptcy and end up paying pennies on the dollar, if anything. Like Trump did many, many times.
