Less pain. Less swelling. A little more steady.

Thursday was quite a bad day in my world.

But, on the upswing now. Thank you, Francine!

I'm a sucker for a viola. I had a crush on a high school friend who played it seriously.

Have fun!

Right? It's definitely beer drinking game or something. :)

But no. Just an acronym for busy E.R. staff to remember the protocol for something.

I was gratified to learn a new word though. :)

That was my Thursday. I'm less stunned now. (From the knock on the head.) And, the swelling is going down.

Thank you, Heidi! 🙏🏼

Yeah. It's bad. It may mean they're going to try to concoct an affiliation or connection for him that they deem to be illegal.

Iranians have been treated very badly by U.S. immigration authorities. It's ugly. If he doesn't get out fairly quickly, like days or a few weeks, it may be a long time.

I will add the following: our students lack the research skills required to audit an LLM essay for errors. They don’t arrive on campus with these skills; we teach it to them over four long years. So throwing freshmen in the deep end and saying “swim your way to a shore of rectitude” is folly.

Thanks to Champagne for linking to another article of mine, which offers further justification as to why telling students to audit a ChatGPT essay for errors is also ill advised. bsky.app/profile/mich...
These assignments encourage people to become DIY detectives, exacerbating a boom in conspiracy theories. The “permission structure of doubt” normalises suspicion as a default setting and suggests that another algorithm (like Google’s search) can discover the truth.

From other video, I saw agents were violent, exactly how, I couldn't say.

My work used to be handling video evidence of protest policing. I'd only make such a specific claim (kidney punch) after an investigation, with interviews, reviewing medical records etc.

It's bodycam. idk their instructions.

Yep. There were at least two angles of video of his arrest recorded by indy videographers. You could see what happened clearly before looking at body cam video.

Old guy got mouthy with ICE. They knocked him down. Before he could get to his feet, they jumped and cuffed him. Unnecessarily roughly.
