sometimes I feel like I hallucinated the 2019 and 2020 WNBA playoffs, because it's impossible to reconcile that version of Chelsea Gray with this one

Nate Tibbetts slapped the scorers table after A'ja Wilson was fouled. He didn't receive a second tech.

I give Loyd a lot of credit for the way she's locked in on all the detail-oriented, role-player stuff the second half of this season. Lots of stars who fall further down the option list later in their careers are really resistant to doing that work. She's done all the extra crap really well. #WNBA

Jewell Loyd is getting beat up tonight. Makes her performance even more impressive.

Looks like Jewell Loyd has a nose bleed here. It happened while defending Kahleah Copper. The officials are reviewing the call for a possible upgrade on the offensive foul.

We’ve got some Abracadabra from the Mercury’s Golden Grannies.

The Aces went for the jugular with this box-and-one. Adjusting like *they're* the ones down 2-0. Impressive, terrifying stuff.

We've reached the point of the 7 game series where both teams throw out the book on what these teams were in the regular season and start messing with the matchups and playing around

Sabally guarding Smith + Thomas guarding Gray has caught my eye early in this one

With the Aces boasting one of the most efficient offenses in the league, Becky Hammon said some of her influences include Brad Stevens, Pop, Kerr and Sandy Brondello.

Wow, what an opening for us fans of the chess match. Vegas come out in a box-and-1 out of nowhere, after playing no zone at all in Game 2; Phoenix come out switching AT all the way over from Wilson to Gray. Big changes, surprising gambles. #WNBA

Talked with the UNLV professor who made waves at the WNBA Finals with his Becky Hammon costume and what inspired his fandom of the Aces head coach.

"the WNBA isn't turning a profit" is a fundamental misunderstanding of how investment capital works that is used to peddle misogyny

Becky Hammon talked who she leaned on during the Aces’ season this year.

Hammon, after thinking: “Jesus.”

Nate Tibbetts on how AT is officiated: "The thing that I just get disappointed in is hearing our officials say that she's hard to officiate because she plays so physical."

I always appreciate when Buckets does his best Freddie Mercury impression. There’s a special wrinkle at the end when he shows the crowd a sign that says:

Freddie Mercury > Phoenix Mercury

Usher, an all time favorite artist of many of the Aces is in the house.

What I've noticed this afternoon is the ways in which A'ja Wilson is getting her touches. It's not just okay get A'ja the ball. It's more how Vegas has moved the defense to find the proper mismatch or space on the floor where Wilson has a situation where she can exploit.

Teams the Mercury faced throughout this playoff run have struggled so much to counter that inverted PNR. But the Aces have guards with more girth and are able to handle AT coming off the picks set for her.

Not related to zone, but 3 of Alyssa Thomas's 5 turnovers in G1 came on those middle-screen plays where the PG sets a back screen for her. Each time, it was from the opposing guard digging in and disrupting her handle after the pick. Vegas found one thing that at least helps vs those sets. #WNBA

I appreciate the Michelob Ultra DJ who played Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In the Night" by Frank Sinatra to introduce the Mercury as they came onto the floor. Quite an apropos song choice.
