The path is very clear: Republicans are creating a system to allow anybody—you, me, whoever—to have their citizenship revoked, sent to a prison camp in the Everglades, then exported to a labor camp in a third-world country. That entire pipeline could be in place in 24 hours.

make sure someone who won’t be at the protest knows where you are. memorize their phone number. remember that cops can lie to you and you always have the right to remain silent. remember that jail calls are recorded and transport vans & holding cells may be, too.

just a reminder that only water goes in your eyes, don’t wear contacts to a protest if you can help it, hot showers will hurt like hell if you have mace or gas residue on your skin. turn off face ID on your phone. pick a buddy & never leave their side. if detained, ask for a lawyer & then shut up.

County parties are the building blocks. Go to your county party meeting and vote for county, state, and DNC leadership that will win elections.
Want a better Democratic Party? Two part solution:
(1) Get better people to run as Democrats or run yourself!
(2) Join the party by showing up at local meetings, learning the rules, and taking it over.
Both are hard, neither are rocket science.
