You saw the death and harm wreaked by the pandemic as a chance to steal our money. How dare you?

It's easy to mock this stuff, but see also Farage whining about Reform being described as racist, through lens of "but that puts us at risk!" Funny how suddenly a bunch of right wingers have hit upon "criticising us is basically incitement to violence", wonderful times

This is a must read for anyone who is interested in the truth about how the DWP has been directed to behave towards vulnerable and disabled people and to then cover up the tragic consequences of cruelty. By the Tories of course but also by New Labour.

We're in London today with a big old bus to tell our Govt this country cannot afford cuts. Instead they should tax us, the super rich. A 2% wealth tax alone could raise up to £460mln a week. @Keir_starmer - invest in a fairer economy. Patriotic Millionaires say Tax Our Wealth

You're welcome.

They test what they can get away with on the folk who are least able to protect themselves.

If we don't stop them, the range of groups they say are 'not like us' and need to be dealt with get bigger just as the groups they call us that they say need protecting get smaller.

It shouldn't be possible to apply these five striking adjectives to a UK Prime Minister and still create the impression that you are holding back and that many many more could be applied and you would still sound reasonable. Your choices are good though tbf.

I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

RIP David Lynch
People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

That's a great ride. I did it from Galway up to the North West 200 in 2014. Rained every day but that's why the place is green. Enjoy.

NEW: Meta has quietly dismantled the system that prevented misinformation from spreading in the United States. Machine-learning classifiers that once identified viral hoaxes and limited their reach have now been switched off, Platformer has learned www.platformer.news/meta-ends-mi...
Behind the scenes, the company was also quietly dismantling a system to prevent the spread of misinformation. When the company announced on Jan. 7 that it would end its fact-checking partnerships, the company also instructed teams responsible for ranking content in the company’s apps to stop penalizing misinformation, according to sources and an internal document obtained by Platformer.

The result is that the sort of viral hoaxes that ran roughshod over the platform during the 2016 US presidential election — “Pope Francis endorses Trump,” Pizzagate, and all the rest — are now just as eligible for free amplification on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads as true stories.

I had a yellow '78 F2. The rattle from the cam chain tensioner was its only fault and that was minor. Mr Honda loved them apparently.

75, traded my Kawasaki 250 for a brand new Honda 400/4. Cost a fortune, £609. Rode it out of Charlie Freeman's felt like a king. Few months in, crashed. Hard.

Rebuilt it. Ace Bars, bar-ends, Dunstall pipe – sounded meaner than it was. Riding home from the Pub each night at a screaming 10k rpm.
