Can’t wait for the Meadows to George St project to change this. But my least favourite thing (as a regular bike commuter on this hill) is the corner just before here where all the drivers swing left into the cycle lane. I lost the argument on that one and it pains me every time I cycle it.

There's always lots of construction going on in the city centre ward 🏗️ so this new code of conduct for responsible construction is very very welcome. I'm only sorry that it's not mandatory - something for me to work towards!

When any pupil goes to school, they should be able to do so safely, have appropriate toilets and changing rooms they can use, and be listened to and have their identity respected.

I was a teacher for 20 years, in primary, secondary & FE. I am now an education academic.

I can confidently say that doing this to trans children is totally immoral & will harm them greatly.

Painting a target on these kids’ backs will cause bullying and will result in trans kids school-refusing.

We changed our council meetings so that they always end at 5 (or very soon afterwards) because we’d had some go on for a long time afterwards. It’s far better this way!

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.
