I *teach* on an Ivy League campus and I don't care as much about the day-to-day happenings at Harvard as the New York Times.

But the middle-aged white guys who run the paper are obsessed with the campus, almost to the point of creepiness. Harvard ought to get a restraining order.

ive said this before but I cancelled my times subscription when I realized I frankly don’t give a shit about what’s happening on Ivy League campuses

Shocked, just shocked, by this important scoop on front page of today's NYT. /s/

Based on report that came out ... nine months ago

And behavior long predating that

ANALYSIS | Trump just hosted an ‘Antifa roundtable’ at the White House ... it was so much worse than you’re imagining

White House policy is increasingly driven by (and aimed at) an increasingly small echo chamber of terminally online right wingers, which includes far too many of the administration’s own top officials. No one else can make sense of what they’re talking about much of the time.

Notable about today’s WH roundtable on Antifa, IMO: not just one outside law enforcement/public safety official brought in for it. Bondi, Patel for administration, but no police chief, state Public Safety Secy, sheriff, etc. Just a dozen right-wing “journalists”. …

This is the strongest response against “the compact” that I’ve seen. There’s no way for a u over with to give up guaranteed state funds for the promise of possible access to (unknown) federal funds. cc @profmarkovic.bsky.social

Donald Trump is breaching the Constitution and breaking the law.

A show of force so he can militarize our cities because of the 2026 elections.

We need to stand up together and speak up.

We need more leaders, Dems and (come ON!) even Republicans to speak up this way.

OK. It's going to be coming out soon because of the relentless investigations of Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, so I might as well admit it before the news breaks:

I am the General Counsel of Antifa.

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

In definitely unrelated news, we know that:

– Trump seems to have thought 2020 footage of Portland was from this year.
– The president has been fooled by AI videos of *himself*
– AI videos of protesters are going viral among MAGA supporters.

Gee I wonder what "movies" might be duping him now.

One of the (many) legal gaps that needs to be filled after this nightmare is over is to prohibit federal law enforcement agencies from using federal funds to create propaganda videos with anyone in custody. This is all about spectacle and content creation, remove the incentive and the means

Weird how that didn’t make the cut.
