The list of things I do is so long, but it starts with programming, and flying. Everything else is somehow tied to those two things.
This should be plastered on the doors of every bathroom and eatery of every cruise ship in the world.

Black box labels are for serious effects of prescription drugs. A vaccine with such a high adoption rate would probably not qualify for one.

Sincerely,
Someone dealing with the lifelong effects of an actual black box drug.

Random experiment to see if cheating in school could be stopped by designing math problems for children that AI will refuse to handle. Results are mixed.

Alright bsky book readers, I'm looking for books on consent; mostly for men navigating consent in dating and relationships, but also anything about building consent culture generally. Only books you've actually read and could recommend, please!

Never have I seen so many men walk straight out of the bathroom without even looking in the direction of the sink than at Sheels.

Something about this statement is so funny to me:

"Microsoft directed users to find more information about this outage on the status[.]cloud[.]microsoft page; however, like many of the company's online platforms and services, this page is also down."
Microsoft: DNS outage impacts Azure and Microsoft 365 services
Microsoft is suffering an ongoing DNS outage affecting customers worldwide, preventing them from logging into company networks and accessing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.

I don't buy the AI narrative around prosperity for all. There is plenty of money to go around yet it tends to flow to the top. I can't imagine a world where those in control of AI, assuming it actually works, will resist charging an ever increasing subscription fee cementing the haves and have nots.

The anxiety of getting an unscheduled call from a supervisor that you've only had for a little while is not something I've had to deal with in a very long time.

I was on the toilet. No I didn't answer it; see above.

This tactic is in the news again because ICE agents in Colorado were filmed breaking the window of a car with a baby in the backseat coloradosun.com/2025/10/01/i...
In July, we documented nearly 50 incidents of immigration officers shattering car windows to make arrests — a tactic experts say was rarely used before Trump took office.

ICE claims its officers use a “minimum amount of force.”

You can judge for yourself.

This is is how you enable the roadmap to a 100% State‐controlled media. Broadcast licenses aren't handed out like candy, they're tightly controlled and expensive (that's not just referring to fees, either).

Nothing good will come of this pending rule change.
US FCC to consider ending merger ban among US broadcast networks
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission voted on Tuesday to consider whether to lift the long-standing prohibition on a merger between any of the largest four broadcast networks and to consider relaxing other media ownership rules.

“If it were really that bad you would be in the hospital”.

Maybe that’s true for a non disabled person, but when you’re chronically ill you can’t run to the ER every time things are bad.

You would live there.

There’s also very little they can do to help.

Suffering becomes a constant companion.
