Five years ago today, Donald Trump launched an attack on our democracy.

And five years later, Illinois's GOP leaders remain silent. Our state deserves legislators who will defend our constitution, not stand against it.

this is small comfort given he has state power and i don’t but i am struck by what an obviously weak and fragile man miller is. a blubbering piss baby whose entire affect and personality is an attempt to make up for his profound feelings of inadequacy
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

TAPPER: Sovereign countries shouldn't be able to do what they want?

Bodily autonomy is at the core of all issues regarding human liberation and freedom, and in that regard, what one wishes to do with their shell is entirely on them and whatever people want to do with each other's shells is entirely between them as long as it is consensual.

When student loan borrowers are in default, how does the Trump regime respond?

By garnishing their wages.

When billionaires see their wealth hit record highs, how does the Trump regime respond?

By extending their tax cuts.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Oh my God, they’re posting Zerohedge. If you’re not familiar, ZH is a right wing propaganda operation, ostensibly about financial markets, but more focused on sewing general discord.

BREAKING: We filed a class action lawsuit to stop all Texas public schools from displaying the Ten Commandments in their classrooms.

Judges have blocked our prior plaintiffs' schools from enforcing a Texas law mandating these unconstitutional displays. We're asking the courts to block it statewide.

Speaker Mike Johnson has reportedly told the White House that most Republicans aren't interested in extending ACA subsidies.

Reminder that 57% of ACA Marketplace enrollees live in congressional districts represented by a Republican.

They're selling out their own voters.

Science Must Decentralize
Knowledge production doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Every great scientific breakthrough is built on prior work, and an ongoing exchange with peers in the field. That’s why we need to address the threat of major publishers and platforms having an improper influence on how scientific knowledge is accessed—or outright suppressed. In the digital age, the collaborative and often community-governed effort of scholarly research has gone global and unlocked unprecedented potential to improve our understanding and quality of life.

Well THIS is very cool: cancer patients who received Covid vaccines had a longer median survival than those who hadn’t – suggesting the vaccine somehow helped their immune systems fight the disease.
