I try to keep an open mind (although an empty one would be better). A keen, average club runner. I would also like to be something resembling a gardener.

Masochist activities are investing far too much time in politics and following the Dallas Cowboys

My corner of Europe has had Murdoch for longer than the US has, it's f'd it up no end. He was always enti European, more because they didn't jump when he said jump than any other reason.

Hello! I’m not sure how many people who care about the NHS are here yet- but the non-profit campaign org I run (EveryDoctor) is running a massive campaign involving 99 MPs so far, and I need to connect with as many lovely folk as possible.

If you follow me, share+like this I’ll follow you back!Ju☺️💙

Originally titled 'freeloading scum', I penned this article for the @campaign4parks.bsky.social print magazine, also produced as a blog for their website. In it, I try and expose the ugly side of our society's obsession with 'paying your way' in the countryside.

Commodification of the Countryside
Eben Muse pushes back on the financial barriers to nature and reminds us that access to the countryside should be a right, not a privilege.

I don't engage much on social media nowadays, I prefer to just read posts, but it turns out that I joined here exactly 1 year ago, so I guess it's a good enough excuse to write my first post here.

Big principles at stake behind Rwanda story and few in the media articulating them. Framed as a “WILL gov’t get its way” story, with zero debate of “SHOULD gov’t get its way?”

Human rights law is designed PRECISELY to frustrate politicians keen to circumvent them. 1/3

To sum up last few hours. Government pitch bill which would break international law in order to send people to Rwanda, because Rwanda breaks international law, Rwanda says it won't accept people unless UK upholds international law, Minister of Immigration quits because bill doesn't break enough laws
