Hi new folks,
I post about movies (Mostly old)
I post photographs
(Mostly dumb)
And I talk about TTRPGS
(So many)

If I don't follow you back straight away just interact somehow so I know you're there.

(If you *only* post US politics I might not follow back, my feed is pretty full on that front)
A colour photograph of a path through some trees in varied shades of green and yellow. National Museum, Wrocław.
Seen across the river in black and red monochrome. A small three legged dog lying in the sunshine with his eyes creepily partly open. A very shiny black Labrador sitting upright on a couch, resting her chin on the back of it.

This looks lovely!

I had some Expensive Stuff™ happen this week so I shouldn't back just now but my job is voiceovers, if you decide to make a short trailer and think you could use me, I'd be delighted to donate the narration at no charge.

(This is me)

Hello #horror #ttrpg enthusiasts. Would you be interested in a new game, written and illustrated by yours truly, a fellow human who is #notAI, and is also an #lgbtqa+ icon? Check out Shores Of Night!

PS: I could REALLY use your help boosting this.

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

One of the things I hate most about having spent my adult life in rented accommodation is being surrounded by bland off-white walls forever.

-Ok, ahora funciona. ¿Que demonios he tocado?

What’s the Venn of people who shrug at the suggestion that AI will affect the livelihoods of creatives with a “You can’t stop change” and people who insist office workers shouldn’t be allowed to WFH cuz of how much it hurts the income of people who own office buildings and downtown businesses?

Hah! I was thinking of her!
But the way the show portrays her is interesting in that regard. Wash loves her but I can't recall much acknowledgement of how attractive she is. She's Mals Tough Guy Pal, a bit?

“My cancer is aggressive so to say I’m scared is an understatement, I get a chemo port installed 10/6/2025 and then they begin filling me with chemo drugs.

[…]

This is the fight for my life. Please help me. I want to keep creating games and comics and I need your support to beat this cancer.”

Yeah, I think strong in spite of appearance is cool, though in Whedon's work it now feels a bit like unwillingness to give up his waif fantasy.

I guess to be fair Summer Glau may not be the size of Sigourney Weaver or T2 Linda Hamilton but she was a dancer right? So she's likely strong as hell.

(sorry to jump in uninvited actually, I was really enjoying reading the discussion)

Re: Cameron Vs Whedon in portrayal of tough women, for me one reason Cameron works better is his tough female protagonists are very real women.
Whedon's tend to be more magical waif with power types.
Cameron (jerk IMO, but I love his work) seems comfortable with *actual* strong women, like Bigelow.

I love that!
That's so interesting.
I spent a couple of months around improv comedians once and the way they jam is endlessly fascinating to me.

It is! The clothes, the interiors, all amazing. And the music is fantastic too.

I loved it

Best Coast's
Crazy For You.

It's such a catchy, gorgeous-sounding album full of sweet and often funny songs, with a through line that seems (to me!) to form a fictional narrative about the amused feeling of dread as she realises she's falling (obsessively) for a friend.

It's a given in the music industry that "I've fallen in love!" albums are usually regrettable, and "I've gotten a divorce!" ones often have some of the artist's best work. So question for the group, what are the best "I've fallen in love!" albums?

I’m helping with costuming for an “Eat the Rich” burlesque event and felt like Bluesky was the perfect place to source some ideas. (current ideas below)

Saw The Red Queen Kills Seven Times today, what a treat.

Was often confused as to who's who because almost every woman in it looks like a Robert McGinnis painting, but that's not something to complain about.

I know so little about Giallo, I guess I have some plans for the rest of October.
Barbara Bouchet stands in a blue outfit in front of a wall with horizontal stripes of blue and green. She has very angular features with a long face and pronounced cheekbones Pia Giancarlo stands with a brick wall behind her, staring off camera. She has very angular features with a long face and pronounced cheekbones Sybil Danning, Pia Giancarlo, Barbara Bouchet and another lady in soft focus sit in a diagonal line across the frame.

All have very angular features with a long face and pronounced cheekbones Barbara Bouchet and Marina Malfatti

Hello again everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I now have a Catch-All character sheet for World of Darkness. It's got a lot of interactive sections so you should be able to make most anything from the World of Darkness. 😄
