In January I could barely knit a hat, in March (despite wrist and eye problems) I made a sweater vest and raised over £200 for Alzheimer’s UK by knitting everyday and not giving up. Huzzah.

Someone please explain to me why older men feel entitled to stare at younger women.
Like just, stare and say nothing for ages.
I know I have a walking stick but bloody hell.

FND is wild. You can be doing well for so long and then bam, body is back to where you were.
I’m still getting used to the idea that my body may do this forever, but I refuse to let it take over my life. #FNDawareness

I decided to get into GoT and I’ve just gotten up to S3E9.

Traumatised is the only word I have rn.

I’m really glad that news about FND and people’s experiences are becoming more common. I was diagnosed back in May and felt so isolated because I had never heard of the condition.
Hearing people’s stories really do help people understand the condition better and make you feel less alone.

It’s all “support small businesses!” Until you feel a little bit envious that another seller is getting traction ONCE A MONTH.
Anyways, support @shop.peregrinecoast.press. If I see any of these fools crying “f*ck capitalism” again I’m gonna start scrappin’.
Starting my own discourse about Peregrine Coast Press being so successful we got banned from local markets because the other bookshops got jealous

Would like to thank my boyfriend for ruining his own birthday present by saying he wanted to buy an early release of the new Death Stranding and I then had to intervene and say that I have already bought it.
Do not date people who just buy the nice things for themselves, birthdays are a nightmare 😂

Genuinely want to say a massive thank you to @firstdirectarena.bsky.social because I’ve been so nervous about accessibility since I started struggling with my mobility and your team were so incredibly kind, courteous and understanding.
Me and my family had an amazing night at Scissor Sisters 🤠

Popped into school today for a catch up before starting back and yes, teaching is hard, but no one tells you how cute it is to have your pupils tell you they missed you and can’t wait to have you back.
Did I have a little cry? Yes. Yes I bloody did.

If you’re going to #UKGE and stop by @shop.peregrinecoast.press stall, please comment on how nice the bunting is because I’ve been knitting it for bloody ages.

Thank you to everyone who buys from @shop.peregrinecoast.press because it meant that Eryk had to finally move all of the stock out of our bedroom and get a studio.
I can now keep all my yarn in our room instead. 🧶

It's full of thoughtful, timeless essays on the way people relate to the art they love and it was a total labour of love. I designed the whole thing and I think it still looks pretty good! (though good lord there's some choices here I would not dream of making now)

Got taken to the physio room today and the first thing you see when you go in is the progress pride flag.
Fuck yeah, we love queer friendly medical spaces. 😎

Negatives of being on the neurology ward: it’s isolating because there’s no one my age or with my condition:

Positives: some of the staff are really nice because they haven’t seen someone my age in ages and the old ladies stare at me wondering what I’m doing here 😂

Nice introduction to FND from The Conversation. Love to see it!
Functional neurological disorder can be hard to distinguish from other conditions. Some patients feel misunderstood and their symptoms dismissed.
Tremors, seizures and paralysis: this brain disorder is more common than multiple sclerosis – but often goes undiagnosed

The craziest thing about the whole #fnd diagnosis thing is the neurologist basically saying I may have had this for YEARS and not known.

“Oh yeah I lost my voice for a year after having asymptomatic Covid and no one knew why 🤪”
“Have you considered that might be linked to this?”
“Sh*t.”
