Had high hopes for a certain bit of good news this week, and unfortunately got the opposite news. Mental health taking an absolute beating. I know that booze is the opposite answer when it comes to depression, but.... Tonight definitely feels like one drink turning into many on a Wednesday. Blargh.

Let me tell you, it is never a dull moment here in rural Alberta.... The things I have heard at golf courses and curling rinks in the area would blow your mind. Very pro-America and pro-Trump.

Just a kid, so he started at the lowest level of minor leagues this year and dominated, so they moved him up a level, dominated, moved him up a level, dominated.... All this in one year. Eventually they try him at the highest level...and he continues to look good. Today? This is stuff of legend.

My only interaction with k.d. lang was in 1985 at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Seeing the worn circle in the back pocket of my Levi's, she asked me what I was chewin'. I responded that it was Copenhagen, & she held out her hand.
