Capitalism is unsustainable. A system organized around endless profit accumulation cannot coexist with a finite planet. Protecting the Earth in the long term requires abolishing profit as the guiding principle of production.
One thing 2025 made clear: Durable progress on climate in the US will require structural reform to our corrupted political systems. Otherwise, steps forward will always be vulnerable to the bloody clawbacks we saw this year. A political strategy that doesn't center system reform is not "pragmatic."

The Netherlands, like a lot of countries, uses 'Proportional Representation' as their voting system, as opposed to 'First Past the Post' like the US and some others use. PR voting essentially means that the percentage of votes a party gets in a voting district is the percentage of seats they get.
