Went to a new dr. She gave me book recs for my issue & at the end dropped Casey Means as a great source. I wanted to ask her if she also thought RFK Jr. was a reliable source too but she probably does. Anyway, this crackpot garbage is now infecting our daily lives whether people realize it or not. 😞

Happy Mother's Day! The US has no federally mandated parental leave, which means we're the only nation among 40 of the world's richest countries that doesn't mandate paid leave for new mothers. Our nation runs on the backs of working class mothers and we owe them a colossal debt.

Whatever impostor syndrome you may have once had, dispose of it fucking immediately. If these people run the country, you deserve that promotion, you can run for city council, you can start that business. If this is the baseline, shit, you can do surgery drunk in an alley and you will do less harm.

I don't think it's fully appreciated just how much Trumpism is a celebration of ignorance. Trump not only never learns but proactively avoids it. It's a braindead movement from the top down.

Please repeat over and over:

“Bending to the whims of a bully will not end his cruelty. It will only embolden him. The response to authoritarianism isn’t acquiescence. Bullies respond to one thing, and one thing only: a punch in the face.”

Literally the most important thing to these assholes is that the rich should escape paying taxes. But autistic people are worthless because "they will never pay taxes"??!! This absolute creep is in charge of healthcare. WTAF America? Meanwhile, has he ever heard of what happened to his aunt?
RFK Jr. wants to eradicate autistic people and also has no idea what an autistic person is

Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

On a 2023 earnings call, Elon Musk boasted that Tesla had bagged “over 1 million” Cybertruck reservations and that “demand is off the charts.”

So why has the company still sold less than 50,000 trucks since customer deliveries began 14 months ago?
‘Over 1 Million’ People Wanted a Cybertruck. Where Are They?
“Demand is off the charts!” Elon Musk crowed at the end of 2023, citing more than a million reservations for Tesla's polarizing polygonic pickup—so why has it still sold less than 50,000?

We’re only two months in, & they’re cancelling research into pediatric brain cancer. They’re deporting US kids with brain cancer. They’re putting millions at risk of malaria, TB, & polio.

I for one will never forgive or forget those who said ‘it won’t be that bad’.

I’m gonna disagree. Dems should say: “You know damn well Republicans don’t care about women’s sports. And you know they get arrested every single day for preying on kids. No wonder they make laws where they get to look in your kid’s pants. They wanted to make a child predator Attorney General.” …
Here’s what Democrats should say about trans women and girls playing sports:

“Republicans don’t care about women sports. They just want you to fear young people living their lives freely—so you don’t get angry about their billionaire overlords picking your pockets and controlling everything.”

One thing I'm fucken sick of hearing is that people on the poverty line "don't want handouts."

Well, the rich take hand outs. Maybe they're rich bc they were offered handouts. Maybe they're rich bc they take them.

This "shame in receiving free money" for the poor but not the rich makes me SO MAD

Texting with my Dad tonight about how my grandfather fled Germany in 1928 at age 20 because he was being pressured to join the brown shirts. Arrived here speaking no English and had $20 in his pocket but was free of fascism. As a kid I was fascinated by this story but it seemed so far removed...
