This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

Thisis what an authoritarian regime does to make sure NO ONE opens any investigations it would not like to see opened. Justice is being weaponized AND corrupted in plain sight.

Elon Musk to reporter: “We post our actions to the DOGE website. All of our actions are maximally transparent. I don’t know of a case where an organization has been more transparent than the DOGE organization.”

Here’s the doge.gov website IN ITS ENTIRETY. It’s literally a blank page!

This is absolutely insane. Musk’s DOGE crew just straight up *took* $80 million from an NYC bank account!
Okay what is going on here. Are the accounts at a private banking entity? Does the federal government have direct debit permission set up? So many questions as to how Treasury instructed this payment. (Via NY Post’s Craig McCarthy)

The 11 federal agencies so far targeted for firings or dismantling by Elon Musk have more than 30 ongoing investigations into his companies.

Give us a break. McConnell had his chance after the deadly insurrection. He could have ended this nightmare with a Senate conviction. He didn’t. Let’s never forget his unforgivable disservice to the Constitution and America.

Total failure right now of all of our societal institutions to speak out against the idiotic fascism. University presidents. Fortune 500 CEOs. Religious leaders. Etc. etc. Shameful evidence of how deeply unserious we are as a country.
Thinking about Yakov’s post more re indirect costs and federal funding. We’re all going to have to accept much a lower quality of life in the long term because the pack of Randians in power are high on their own supply - and not a peep from the rest of the capitalist class!
I can't get over how weak so many capitalists are when the backbone to a lot of their profits -- federal investment and safety nets -- are being gutted. Probably aligns with the death of long term value plays as everything descends into rents and looking for exit liquidity.
