Sacking The Washington Post probably has Bezos high-fiving his yachted authoritarian friends, all thinking they’re noble Centurions putting a knife into some loudmouth Senator under cover of darkness and saving Rome in the process.

They fail to appreciate that they actually wrecked an aqueduct.

Put ICE in charge of building a fleet of AP 1000s and funding every data center.
The job right now isn't to advocate for more training, or body cams or QR codes or whatever because those things will be effective in their own right. It's to advocate for those things because it will bleed ICE's slush-fund white.

Pirro: "You bring a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law abiding law owner somewhere else. You bring a gun into this District, count on going to jail. And that makes all the difference"

When you read the Epstein emails with the Eastern European women he trafficked, without looking at the addresses it’s impossible not to assume he’s the one that’s not a native English speaker.

Good chart from Paul Krugman's latest piece. Feel like I would like some clarity over the scores from 2008 though, given FOMC transcripts have Warsh saying these things at the March, August and September meetings of that year.

Furman and El-Erian aren't idiots, but absolutely no one thinks Dutta or Skanda owe their position to their father's influence or connections. Makes a difference!

It's uncharitable, but "the people with prominent parents are on this beside of the argument" is a hell of a heuristic.
Neil Dutta and Skanda being so anti-Warsh (my perspective as well) while people like Jason Furman and El-Erian praised him say a lot about how different types of people judge qualifications and character when it comes to Fed governors.
