Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.
Tweet from the VP:
Joy Reid has had such a good life in this country. It's been
overwhelmingly kind and gracious to her. She is far wealthier than most.
Yet she oozes with contempt.
My honest, non-trolling advice to Joy Reid is that you'd be a much
happier person if you showed a little gratitude

Air were pretty incredible at Red Rocks last night. Glad I was able to catch them at such a special venue.

Seeing AIR at Red Rocks makes up for when NBC cut them from the Olympics.

Most people who are not named Chuck Schumer also understood this in March.

I’m glad Democrats finally understand, but giving Trump everything he wanted back in March without a real fight had consequences.

Something that stood out to me: the constant DOGE cuts to the federal workforce kind of inoculated Democrats to Trump’s threats of laying off the federal workforce.

“I mean, they got rid of department education,” Ruben Gallego said “whether we pass this or not, he's gonna fire whoever he wants.”

Bombing my big stand-up special in front of a totally silent room of generals. "What else, what else. Bagram Air Force Base, we're going to do that again, okay? And we're going to do it the right way: through specific types of tattoos, and haircuts."

Liberty are fortunate this wasn’t uglier. #ODU had two fumbles within Liberty’s five yard line and a missed chip shot.

#Silkworm locked in for night two. Gotta say the sound mix is much better at this venue!

I ended up at Beard & Belly, Hop Butcher and Pequod’s instead of doing museums. I’m going to need to lay down for a bit before this concert tonight.

Here is my last point on Kimmel. If Kimmel came on and apologized like this the day after his remarks he probably wouldn’t have been suspended. But by all accounts he wanted to double down. Again for the billionth time this isn’t a free speech issue. He works for Mickey Mouse on NETWORK TV. Nobody said he was going to jail. He was dealing with the consequences of making off color jokes about the murder of a guy who meant a ton to a ton of people and blamed it on the very people who love him the most before the body was even cold. So yeah there was outrage that Mickey had to deal with. Then the pendulum swung the other way and they put him back on air. Either way it was never a free speech issue. When you work for somebody else and you offend a ton of people you deal with the consequences. Him framing this as free speech is a joke. https://x.com/VigilantFox/status/1970704059741970865/video/1
