Hoping these federal agents are held accountable, breaking the law should have real consequences. A federal judge has ruled that federal immigration agents illegally arrested more than two dozen people.

Mike Johnson’s abrupt closure of the House had more to do with stalling a congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation than previously reported, and it appears to have been a direct response to the Treasury’s surrender of Epstein’s financial records.
SCOOP: Johnson closed House hours after Congress received Epstein’s financial records
The decision to shut down the House — and by extension the government — came hours after the Oversight Committee received documents from the US Treasury.

The Speaker of the House has firm views that Bad Bunny is a terrible pick for singing at the Super Bowl, but hasn't had time to watch the President's speech to our military leadership or form an opinion whether furloughed federal workers should be paid or Illinois' governor should be thrown in jail.

It's been over 9 months since the Palisades and Eaton Fires tore through Los Angeles. We asked for federal support, but we haven’t heard a word from the White House.

Not a single offer.

Is this what leadership looks like? Abandoning the American people when they call for help?

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

@warnock.senate.gov: "You know that it's a critical moment any time Raphael Warnock and Marjorie Taylor Greene are essentially saying the same thing. That doesn't happen often... She saw that the premiums of her own adult children will go up so much in 2026 that their healthcare is unaffordable."

The Oregon national guard general says if the Oregon National guard were to be deployed they would be instructed under his leadership to protect the protesters not ICE.

If we are taking in “trillion” of dollars in tariffs:

1. Why haven’t we paid down a cent of the debt?

2. Why can’t we afford to not fuck millions of people over with expiring insurance subsidies?

3. Why is none of it being used to help the abysmal job market?

Adelita Grijalva won her election fair and square.

Now House Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in because she would be the final signature to release the Epstein files.

Mr. Speaker, respect democracy. Obey the law. Swear Representative Grijalva in immediately.

‪@r-s-s.bsky.social‬ is probably right about what ‪@chazteplin.bsky.social‬ meant.

But it's not simple. Increasing a utility's generating capacity is a hugely expensive undertaking. It lowers “stockholder value.” People installing rooftop solar are offering to offload some of that cost for free.

Just posting this. Everyone knows why.
Text of the fourth amendment “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Certainly not exactly the same, both in the larger sense of “you can never step into the same river twice” — but also obviously one is fatal on the other merely painful/dangerous.

And there is also this, from a parallel sub-thread:

Absolutely. One was during the bloody years-long American revolution, one was during the bloody years-long Vietnam war, and one was in Illinois this week. We are only nine months into Trump’s authoritarian march toward martial law and fascism. Give him time. ICE is already shooting people:
