TL;DR I'm currently unemployed and my mom has been opening my mail/checking my bank account without my permission for...some time. Knowing it is illegal to do does not stop her from doing it. I had money saved in my account in case something happened, and no, automatic payments were not set up.

Mississippi just caused Bluesky to be completely blocked in the state. If other states follow, I would suggest Proton's free VPN. I've been using it to get around Georgia's blocks on porn sites.
