I'm now going to start using "miraculous" as an effort level for software planning, too.
The CGI effects were created by ILM. Head of ILM Dennis Muren went through the script and marked each effects scene as Easy, Moderate, Difficult or Miraculous. 50% of them were marked as miraculous. Impressively, everything in the script appears in the finished film.

If you only care about the "learning outcomes" in education and don't value the process that leads to them, then it's really not about the learning at all, is it?

There’s a historical aspect of the Trump administration’s attack on universities that I think has not been appreciated: Their legal theories are based on a perversion of one of the greatest legal accomplishments of the American project - school desegregation. 🧵 1/

it's important this go as viral as the original story for morale purposes if nothing else. despite the image they project these people are NOT unaccountable. consequences CAN be forced. focused anger and outrage MATTERS.

Major papers not putting large, coordinated nationwide protests as a top story is notable on its own. But that the big papers in Boston, LA, and SF are in that cohort is just disappointing.
Salt Lake Tribune - yes
Anchorage Daily News - yes
Boston Globe - No

Seattle Times - yes
NY Times - No
NY Post - No

Yesterday, 1,400 protests were held to protest the Trump whose headlines fill this page. But to the #BrokenTimes this morning, they are a buried BTW. It has plenty of photos; none here. This is what they call "news judgment." To the Times, we are not news.

I checked out just under thirty newspapers. I was enthused that almost all had the protests as the top story on their home page and with a picture

But the NYT? Nope. Third story down and, critically, no photo

And they're not stupid, they know better. Extremely frustrating
