Senate Democrats plan to block a sweeping government funding package after U.S. Border Patrol agents killed a man in Minneapolis on Saturday — increasing the likelihood of another shutdown at the end of the week.
Senate Democrats to block government funding after second fatal shooting in Minneapolis
The move could force a partial government shutdown next weekend. Lawmakers are set to vote on spending bills this week but may look to split Homeland Security from other agencies.

I don’t see too many people talking about what an incredible accomplishment it was for MN officials and lawyers to get those affidavits and that motion written and filed and to get a Trump appointed judge to issue a TRO against the feds to stop them from destroying evidence - all in the same day.

It’s not just that they are murdering people who are peacefully protesting, it’s that they then stand in front of the cameras and slander the victims by telling us that what we see on the videos didn’t happen.

This is unbelievable. His gun was never in his hand.
To claim that "video" supports this claim is simply a lie, and millions of people know that.
The editors at the Post (if there are such people) are a disgrace to journalism.
They also said Pretti waved his gun in last nights headline. The @NYPost has long been a laughable lying scandal rag tabloid, but it’s mind-boggling how it’s become a total mouthpiece for Trump and his goon squad.

We're used to seeing images like this of Nazi Germany. This is what an execution looks like. It's an image that will haunt America for years to come. Alex Pretti was a nurse whose life was dedicated to saving lives. In the eyes of the world, America has become the monster it used to fight against.

And it’s not even a big story.

it’s far from the only legit line of argument one could make but “people are dying because these idiots are unqualified and untrained” is absolutely a good and correct line of argument for professional law enforcement officers to be emphasizing right now
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara: "People have had enough. This is the third shooting in less than 3 weeks. The MPD went the entire year last year recovering about 900 guns from the street, arresting hundreds of violent offenders, and we didn't shoot anyone ... this is not sustainable."

This is correct. MN officials are the ones appealing for calm. The White House is demanding obedience.
Pritzker: "An American president should be standing up, calling for calm. That's not what this president ever does. In fact, he wants the temperature to go up. Why? Because what he's looking for is an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act, to bring actual troops into American cities."

ICE push his friend down
He goes to help them
ICE spray him
ICE pull them apart
ICE jump him
You can see ICE pull out a gun
ICE shoot him multiple times

Witness who filmed it repeatedly shouting,

"What the f*ck did you just do"

It shouldn’t take bravery, of course. But those aren’t the times we’re in.
