Hi Robert, I haven't seen any of your posts for ages; my fault. It's well past time we had lunch, certainly before you leave for Egypt on my birthday!
Well it is now official if nothing happens to my health ( only one more MOT check to be done in May.
I have this morning booked a Flight to Cairo, Egypt 🇪🇬 departing Glasgow 6th June until 3rd September.
I will arrive and stay in Cairo for possibly 5 nights before travelling around. Nothing planed🍜🍽️✅

Starmer and his government are the closest in Europe to Trump and his chaos in the US. Labour has not been socialist since before Thatcher.
Lots of media speculation at the moment, but reports suggest they are considering cuts to both PIP and UC. An announcement is expected early next week.

Fingers crossed this will continue. Not least because it will bury the dead end that is the BSW.
YouGov's final MRP sees Die Linke continuing to surge. A Bundestag like this would probably result in a Union/SPD coalition:

Thank you Larry. I miss it so much. And my traditional Pork Pie.

My mutton with capers was my second favourite after the pork pie.

Sad no company in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 or england was willing to help me.

Keep well and see you next month. 🙏🍷🍷🍷🍽️🍜✅

I'm told that the food bank was closed for 2 days, for security, and that the billionaire arrived by helicopter. How many ways can you be crass! (It wasn't a question).

A fond memory Robert, I loved that pie.
Yes Stornaway black pudding changed once his daughters took over and changed the recipe. Also sometimes not mixed enough so was to oniony
Andrew Ramsay was the 1st to win 3* for black pudding in the Smithfield show 2012 👍👋👋👋🍜🍽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃🥃
I bought it for the pie for Turin 2012 and history was made in a crust

This company likes to portray itself as akin to numerous small local brewers. It is, in fact, a giant corporation backed by a US private equity firm.
James Watt Brewdog's CEO is worth £262,000,000 he is refusing to raise the wage of his staff in London by the £1 an hour to keep them at the National Living Wage.

Brewdog is apparently a 'nice' company, but wage freezes don't seem very nice.

Do they?

A distopian nightmare come true. I am old; I grew up seeing the world get steadily better... until the Reagan/Thatcher right wing assault changed everything. That was the start of the rot. The rot is accelerating.

Fascism and Oligarchy have joined forces. Their aim is to destroy our democracies so they can rule like feudal lords. Only a strong EU can counter that. The best way to make the EU and Britain stronger is to reverse Brexit – so that we can all stand united again on the barricade against tyranny.

Here's the Chancellor candidate of the German Greens, Robert Habeck, stating what everyone needs to know. Namely that a strong EU is the best counterweight to authoritarians like Musk and Trump. Which is why they support those parties that want to weaken the EU.

Still think this is true. It doesn't mean I don't think Labour won't lose seats or even end up in a coalition or however it plays out. But looking at the numbers and the various ways it can play out, it's still more likely than not that Labour is in power next time.
Genuinely, I don't believe Farage will ever be PM. Keep seeing posts on here thinking that he can do it, but if you thought tactical voting was a Big Thjng in getting rid of the Tories i think it would be on steroids if there was a prospect a Farage PM on the other side of an election.
