Of all the stupid things that this regime has done, this is right up near the top. Postdoctoral researchers come to the US on H-1B visas. This will further destroy the US science enterprise. Stupid stupid stupid.
Trump administration to add $100,000 fee for H-1B visas
The Trump administration is targeting a visa widely used by tech companies and other employers to hire foreign workers.

nostalgic bonnethead sharks 🌈⚠️
An illustration on a light green background of two tan bonnethead sharks surrounded by nostalgic items, swirls, and stars. There is an old gameboy, a gameboy cartridge, a little earth, a caution sign, a rainbow ink swatch, a lava lamp, a sand filled lizard and an alien ufo.

Crime is going to go up because joblessness is going up and resources for the poor and struggling are going down.

People steal before they starve.

And all of this would have been avoided if more people voted for the kind smart Black lady.

Fun fact: if you teach any type of organismal biology you can justify buying the inaccurate skeletons (to yourself) by saying “I’m bringing this to class and having students identify all the inaccuracies as a learning opportunity”

The students in my ornithology class loved it
Book shelf in my house that has a plastic owl and plastic rat skeleton. This owl has bones for feathers, the goofiest pelvis you’ve ever seen, really wonky ribs, no keel, and bone ears where owl feather tufts would be.
