Today was yet another sad day for science. All U-RISE training programs, including the one at SJSU, got stop work orders. We've had a version of this program at SJSU for 30+ yrs. Devastating for the students who got their stipends & tuition pulled w no notice & for the future of science 🧪 1/

Hey #Microbiome peps - has anyone generated ONT (10.4) data for full length 16s rRNA analysis and has a data analysis/OTU clustering pipeline they are happy with and are willing to share? TIA!

Wow, Bluesky really took off in the last couple of days! The first microbiome starter pack is full now and I started a second one with non-overlapping profiles.

Check out these people below and please let me know if you would like to be included!

Love this idea for helping the community make the transition to Bluesky, so I’ve compiled a woefully incomplete list of microbial ecologists and -omics peeps I know are here.

Please make suggestions and share. Let me know if you’d like to be added.
