Listening to twit and they're describing the early Internet as "spoiling" us with "absolute privacy" when it's actually like the most significant surveillance setup in human history. Like what.

Claiming that Waymo is widening the lead on Tesla’s robotaxis is making a mistaken assumption that Tesla is even in the race.

This is vaporware versus a product with millions of monthly rides. Tesla is as much in this race as I’m in the race for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
Waymo crosses 450,000 weekly paid rides as Alphabet robotaxi unit widens lead on Tesla
This year, Waymo debuted on freeways in three cities, and started autonomous driving in cities including Miami, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Orlando.

I was always aware that a higher percentage of people are murdered by knives in the US than the UK. But the US knife crime rate is much lower than the UK's, which always seemed strange. Obviously there's something missing, it's unlikely that Brits are just really bad at stabbing people. 2/5

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

thinking about how my parents escaped vietnam, where the CIA destabilized my family's home country by spreading misinformation, and they landed in the united states, which is now getting destabilized bc someone in vietnam is spreading misinformation
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

Can we circle back to the part where the NY Times never disclosed that they have incriminating information on Donald Trump from sent by Epstein that's been sitting on their email servers for nearly a decade?
Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
