Absolutely brilliant 👏👏👏
This is a *very* good thread. Clarifies some really tricky issues. Not least why some English politicians insist that they cannot actually be English.
I think liberals in the West need to understand that they have not stumbled across any kind of contradiction or hypocrisy in the Global far right. When they said “people have a right to free speech” they simply never saw racialised people as people to begin with 🧵

Interesting article
Have written about Liz Truss, the free speech warrior, threatening to sue Keir Starmer for defamation.

That’s actually good news for No10. What’s bad, is that the bond markets appear to be back in their 1970s role: a sword of Damocles over a Labour government.

More importantly, Rachel Reeves' problems are getting worse: it's starting to feel a bit 70s.

It is good to know that my takedown video really did get to him. He's absolutely never acknowledged me before.

If you want to see what's getting him so mad, here it is (I'd really love it to reach 10k views so consider sharing, liking, etc if you'd be so kind) www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyKI...

Very powerful
NEW: Andrew Norfolk broke the grooming gang story, 15 years ago. His exclusive interview on today’s News Agents
is deeply powerful, not least for his anger about those political figures now exploiting it and the victims for their own purposes.

Rest in peace John Prescott.
John Prescott was a politician both behind and ahead of his time. Considered too bluff and old Labour to reach to the very top in the 90s, today his authenticity and class credentials would have been perfect to fight Farage and populism. Labour needs more like him.

Such a great point. 👏👏👏
Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
