🎖️ The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2025 is awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson & Omar Yaghi! They have created molecular constructions, known as metal–organic frameworks, that can contribute to solving some of humankind’s greatest challenges.

AI can now generate fake microscopy images that are nearly impossible to detect. A serious threat to scientific integrity—and we’re not prepared for it.

had to walk past/through FIVE (not an exaggeration) separate dance troupes this morning at 8:30 on my way to the lab. the students are well and truly back... and there are some rather odd fresher's celebrations happening at KTH

Transition-path times of individual molecular shuttles under mechanical equilibrium show symmetry: Chem www.cell.com/chem/fulltex...
Molecular machines operate out of thermodynamic equilibrium, but as molecules in solution (low Reynold's number) are always in mechanical equilibrium.
