Ok that promised winter storm has arrived. Picked up maybe an inch in the last 30-45 minutes? So of course we went out on the porch to adjust holiday lights that had escaped their hook. And also let the dog have a frolic and a potty stop. But overall it's a good day to be indoors.

Pies are done, breakfast roll-ups are done, corn pudding is in the oven and I'm on my third half-watch of the Macy's parade. Still need to make the squash dip and trim the brussel sprouts but then my contributions to the day will be finished.

We've now reached the point in the morning 's proceedings where I remember the cord for the hand mixer went MIA during the move 😒 And the old stand mixer not only doesn't have the right beaters, but may no longer function at all. Welp ::reaches for the whisk:: time to do it grandma's way..

Well.. maybe I'm not going to go to the movies again tonight. For a movie I've seen dozens of times, own (at least on VHS) and can probably get from the library as well. Biggest drawback is it being on the east side *sigh* - it's enough I have to drive there 5 days a week for work.

Just home from a reunion gig for Shadow of Fear, Cleveland 's OG goth band. Only one original member and one from a later incarnation, but they still did a great job. Lot more younger people there than I expected too.
