Hey @govwesmoore.bsky.social I was on 295 to Bmore this morning and saw 4 sets of MD highway patrol working with ICE stopping work vans and pulling out workers. Around Powder Mill Rd exits going both North and Southbound lanes. WTF???

Imagine if Dems in the Senate hadn't caved. The House wouldn't be in session rn, the discharge petition wouldn't be signed, people wouldn't have SNAP, govt workers would be RIF'd & the GOP would have some decent talking points. But also online rage addicts would be happier! YMMV!

The problem isn't that they caved for a promised vote; the problem is that the vote will be a meaningless gesture impressing no one but Senate Democrats.
It will fail. ACA beneficiaries will suffer considerably as a result and there will be no consequences of any kind for Republicans.
