I would assume so. But also, like, any email provider made in the last 10 years will let you make up aliases on the fly like [email protected] => [email protected], so email shouldn’t be a concern at all.

Yeah it’s classification and that’s it + they have a specific contract that prevents the provider from training on the content that is being classified.

Ppl should worry about whomever scraping the firehose and training on that (something Bsky cannot prevent) lol

if the product is the protocol, like the team says, i feel like "do people get what the product can do and cannot do" should be priority. the past few days have proven that the limitations/current state of the protocol weren't understood/communicated clearly??

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

People need to be able to say rude things about a guy who regularly talked about Black people like we aren't human, and the fact that Bsky seems more protective of a dead white man's memory than of living Black people's connection to community is a profoud, grotesque statement

I also think there needs to be some semblance of being willing to admit the organization has done something wrong. A good start would be to restore Link and to invite him, Aveta, Rudy and others to have a conversation about racial bias in moderation in this time of rising white supremacy.
