We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

To clarify: I know of zero cases where the majority *of Black people* in a polity voted for racism.

I can think of cases in this country where the simple majority of a majority-white polity voted for racism, and last election almost a majority of the whole country’s voters did it.

Yeah, a member of a social minority hating the social majority is never an example of racism. But to my understanding, one member of a social minority oppressing other members of the same minority group, or another minority group, can be.

Don’t different Black people vote for different things? There’s never been a case that I’m aware of where the majority voted for racism, certainly not in this country. But I’m not sure what that has to do with what I said

Videogames are, of course, still a convenient scapegoat for ills in society. But it also shows that it's never about the money: it's about appealling to an image of the country based on the past. Conservatism is about denying the present and destroying the future.

When did I turn the focus on other races?? The conversation was already about whether Black people could be racist. I think the person who originally suggested they could was wrong, but I also think the people who responded to her by saying they couldn’t were also wrong, for different reasons.
