Oh yeah, when I asked for his kid's book for Christmas one year I got "Oh, Ray! My friend worked for him on text to speech stuff in the 70s, he was a really nice guy. Very funny and smart. Randi knew him too, you know, Randi whose sliding glass door you tried to run through when you were little?"

I inherited half of my mother's fear of heights - unlike her, I can go UP things okay. But then I cannot come down again. So there will be no rock climbing for me! But I do have friends who swear it is very fun.

...On the other hand, my friends being as they are (perfect!), there's almost always at least one who's changed names since I filled in their postcard. Possibly I should stop prefilling the names. Or just start addressing my mail to your AO3 handles.

Cal is usually very cooperative to get the treats, so I figure on the rare days he holds his breath he must REALLY not be feeling it, and deserves to skip a dose.
