I cannot wait to give the ones I ordered to my kids!
Please buy an advent calendar! This is our 3rd year. Ours arrived yesterday; my husband came & handed the envelope to me. “What’s in it? WAIT, IS IT THIS YEAR’S ANIMAL FACTS ADVENT CALENDAR?!” I slowly pulled it out of the envelope, facing it towards him. His face lit up as he shouted, “EEL FACTS!!”
This year we have sold 31% of the advent calendars that we sold last year 😓

The art is so pretty and colorful 🥺
The facts are so good 🥺
Eels are so cool 🥺

Do not take legal advice from chatGPT.

Do not take medical advice from chatGPT.

Do not take financial advice from chatGPT.

In fact, stop using chatGPT. It’s destroying the environment, giving people terrible advice and lining tech bro pockets.
I have three hearings at three different courthouses today. At the second, someone was sobbing outside the courtroom. They'd asked ChatGPT what to say in Court. They believed what it told them.

They lost because it hallucinated, and they didn't know there were no do-overs.

I have helped organize a Canadian classroom to Skype a Scientist in the past and have used Sarah's resources in my Science 10 class this year. Think you have $10US to help increase scientific literacy in the US (and Canada)? Follow the link!
Whew, ok, with a few hours to spare, the 2025 classroom map is ready! The 7th annual United States of Science competition starts tomorrow.

If you wanna get your region off to a head start, just between us night owls, here's that link 😘

You guys are doing it again.

Yes, NOAA is important because of the National Weather Service, but that is not all they do and you should stop saying it is.

I wrote this for the Union of Concerned Scientists. Read it and adjust your messaging accordingly. 🧪🦑🌎🐟

Far too much of the media coverage supporting NOAA only mentions one of many things they do: here are 10 more.

Alright I have a question for *all of you*, esp for those of you who are not into environment stuff.

When you think about planting native plants in the area you control, what *prevents* you from taking that action? These could be emotional, financial, practical, anything.

RTs appreciated here.

Yesterday I spent most of the day outside and got so excited about gardening! I found rhubarb I thought was gone, planted red onion sets and spinach in the food garden and gladioli in semi random places. The sunshine did good things for me! #gardening #sunshine
