Winter Solstice solo pheasant hunt yesterday. Lots of snow and blown over cattails made for tough walking for 60yo human and 9.75yo good girl. Some bad luck and bad shooting made it a long and hard 17k step day, but we ground out our three. Grateful

Cold smoked for 1 hr, and then cooked hot/fast in butter/oil infused with onions, garlic and poultry herbs. Rdux finished with fig preserve, bourbon and mpl syrup
