With Josh Naylor returning to the Blue Jays, re-signing Alonso just got more important. They could maybe opt for Murakami, but it seems a lot more risky than sticking with Pete. #MetsSky #Mets #LGM

The Eagles continue to find a way to win. Incredibly small point differential for a team at 7-2, but it doesn’t matter.

Supreme Court Denies Request to Revisit Same-Sex Marriage Decision www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

This is very good news. But I don’t believe the matter will rest there. The conservatives will keep trying.

Here’s my fantasy wish list for #Mets #MetsSky FA signings this offseason: Edwin Diaz, Tyler Rogers, Ranger Suarez, Tatsuya Imai, Kyle Schwarber, Josh Naylor, Harrison Bader. It’s unlikely that we sign any of them, besides Diaz, but I’d like to see every one of them in a Mets uniform

Trump‘s brilliant plan of 50 year mortgages means that after your first 20 years making huge interest payments to a bank you will have paid down almost none of the principal and they will still own the house you are living in with 30 years to go. A scam from a career con man.

Why Democrats Could Win the Redistricting War www.nytimes.com/2025/11/07/u...

I f’ing hate gerrymandering and think it should be unconstitutional. But if the fascists are trying to destroy democracy, I sure hope Democrats will use every trick in the book to stop them.

Stagflation? How about a recession with a chaser of tariff related inflation?
🚨 CNBC: "Announced corporate job cuts surging past 1 million so far this year, with 153,000 new layoffs just in October according to Challenger. That is the worst October since 2003."

Trump's own lawyer just admitted to the Supreme Court that American consumers pay 30%-80% of these insane Trump tariffs.

Over the next 10 years, Trump says they will collect over $4T in tariffs.

So that means American families are going to be paying $1.2T-$3.3 trillion dollars in TARIFF TAXES.

Now comes the fun part of offseason: chasing free agents. I expect Mets to sign at least one big name starting pitcher, one big name position player (aside from Alonso, if he re-signs with NYM), and a bunch of lesser names. Who do you want most? #MEtsSky #LGM

This World Series confirmed why Stearns was all-in on Yamamoto. If the decision came down to just $$$, he would have been a Met and we would have been in the playoffs (maybe even the WS). Hope we have better luck in the future. #MetsSky

Well, best thing I can say about this series is that the Jays went down swinging. And that the combination of setting the clocks back and playing the last game on a Saturday night was very kind of whatever divinity set it up that way.

Very Interesting article about Graham Platner’s candidacy. I’m keeping an open mind after reading it.

If you want a scary story for Halloween, listen to Bruce Springsteen’s song “Nebraska” and read the lyrics. Based on the killing spree of Charles Starkweather in 1957/8, it’s scarier than any monster movie .

If Mets can’t win the World Series (tough to do if you don’t make the playoffs), the next best thing is for the Jays to beat the Dodgers. Still a long way to go, but up 6-1 in the ninth and on the verge of taking a 3-2 series lead on the way back to Toronto…

That’s the funniest run scored in a WS that I can remember. Single followed by three wild pitches, with a couple walks interspersed. #GoJays! #MLB

Great to see Blue Jays hanging tough against the LA All-Stars also known as the Dodgers.

And ex-Met Chris Bassitt pitching very well in a relief role.
