In Super Mario World, green berries increase the timer. By strategically eating them to make the timer pass 100 multiple times, the music can be sped up repeatedly. It turns out that the music engine cannot handle more than 20 speed-ups, and slows down to a crawl instead.

I think anyone under the age of like, 35, should watch Die Hard. Not just for Christmas, but because I think it's a great piece of history. Luggage doesn't have wheels yet? You can just smoke in an airport? (And everywhere else?) The bad guys are German? It's a moment in history.

That looks like a boss ripped out of one of Capcom's old 1942 series of arcade games right there.
I went through a long phase as a kid of making model airplanes, particularly WW2 ones, and I always liked when I found a weird one. So it came as some surprise to me today that I'd never heard of this monster, a Russian prototype from the 1930s. The Kalinan K-7.

In the Mario Party series, an item's name was changed from "Cursed Dice Block" to "Creepy Dice Block". While it may appear to be an unnecessary change to make it more "family-friendly", it is actually an effective localization of the original Japanese name's double meaning.
