David was such a funny and kind guy. I’m grateful I knew him. Absolutely gutted by this.
David Burr Gerrard was a great writer and a mensch. I loved arguing with him about Philip Roth and yelling with enthusiasm about Shakespeare. He was a devoted father and husband, and a great lover of the arts. I miss him already.
