My mum always referred to Russulas as "watercolour mushrooms". In Czech they're called Holubinky, or "little pigeons".

This child playing Stick and Split is 5 years old. We can build very confident and capable mathematicians from astonishingly young ages if we give them the right kind of play. They are better at maths than we think.

This is great - just yesterday I was trying to come up with a familiar example where the GM is more useful, and couldn't think of one on the spur of the moment. My regular go-to is the Distinctly Average game in House of Games, but it takes too much explaining for a quick example!

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

Either it's so vague that any trans woman who expresses delight with her surgery would be an instance of it, or it's so powerful that a trans woman would literally be unable to go about her daily life. And, of course, as ever, it fails to account for trans men.

Over on Quora I just told someone that "autogynephilia" is a myth, and they've asked me to produce evidence, and I mean... I could, but my main evidence is that it's just incredibly obviously one of the many psychological theories made up by self-deluding researchers with poor experimental designs
