Two of my favorite examples of this are stories of Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson in his "Country Music" series. If you don't know their histories before watching, the payoff is emotional and rewarding.

This "strategic withholding" is, IMHO, what makes Ken Burns' docs so compelling. He teases, weaves, and sets up story arcs over several installments, waiting until the right moment in order to deliver the key information payoff.
When we see all the threads come together, it's so satisfying.

The first viral tweet I ever did was pointing out that if a female actor behaved remotely like Jared Leto did on SUICIDE SQUAD, she'd never in a million years get cast in anything else.
Some men got very angry at me, and told me to get back in the kitchen(?).

I got another viral tweet out of that.

A birthday shoutout to composer Marco Beltrami.
Known for his scores for SCREAM and other horror films, he has a very wide range, and has worked with Guillermo del Toro, James Mangold, Kathryn Bigelow and others.
Emmy winner and Academy Award nominee Beltrami is 59 today.
