Another of my 2024 favorites, and probably my favorite family moment I documented.
We all slept through the spring aurora show, so when we were given another opportunity in October, we didn’t miss it. It was their first time seeing the northern lights.

Well, we got the Christmas tree up (finally), lights on and presents under the tree but no decorations yet. I have to admit I love it simple like this - just a small real and the smell it gives and lights. 🎄

I visited this Connecticut waterfall over the summer and the creek was raging. Returning in the fall, I found it to have a much lighter flow which made it perfect to photograph.

Nasturtium is 🌿 Latin for nose-tweaker 👃 probably because of it's peppery taste
It is native to the South & Central American Andes' forests, & was introduced to Europe by the Spanish in the C16th having both been eaten & used for medicine by the Incas
All parts are edible & incredibly pretty 🌱 🏵️

My girls and I spent the weekend reading and discussing one of Carl Sagan’s glorious books - The Demon Haunted World (my 4th time reading and my girls their 1st time). I can’t help but feel that he had an inkling of what was to come. Highly recommended read.

I love everything about space, especially when looking at these kind of pics, to remind me of my insignificance. It feels humbling and refreshing.
once again thinking about the fact that this is all just OUT THERE and we can only see it through the eyes of telescopes
