Hey, gonna put this out there early: I do not do follow-for-follow. I follow people for 2 reasons:

1. I like your content
2. I like you as a person because I know you as a person.

Follow me only if you like what I have to say; it's not going to improve your odds of getting a follower back.
Rolling my eyes SO hard at the "still not distracted, release the files" shit.

The Epstein Files ARE the distraction. He could confess to everything, and it wouldn't change a damned thing, because the people with the power to do so WILL NOT REMOVE HIM FROM OFFICE.

Meanwhile he commits war crimes.

Good riddance to 2025. A little good, a lot of bad. Hopefully 2026 will be the year of justice.

I'm getting really sick of staring down at my phone and whispering "You are so fucking stupid" under my breath.

Part of me thinks I should just get off of social media altogether, but then I'll end up being basically clueless about anything going on, because God forbid news media do its actual job

A time rapidly approaches when Trump will be unable to travel to most of the developed world without inciting an international incident, as he is now undeniably guilty of war crimes.

The question would be: who flinches first? Arresting a sitting president would be... dicey, no matter the necessity

If you walked into the voting booth and put a fucking check mark next to "Donald J. Trump" for President, you cannot fucking say "I didn't vote for this". YES YOU DID. You checked the box, you posted the memes, you owned the libs, and now we are all being rewarded for your hatred and racism. Thanks.

Oh man, it was a super good idea (non-sarcastically) to post the utterly non-controversial opinion that Kamala would be vastly, *insanely* better for Gaza than Trump.

I got to block several "leftists" who definitely contributed to the rise of Trump and all of the death and misery of the last year.

You know what really boggles my mind? They could still be billionaires if they paid a living wage, if we had affordable healthcare and housing and food and, and...

If the average person had money to spend we'd spend it on things the billionaires own, and we'd be okay with it because we'd be *okay*.

Re-reading some old posts, I wonder...

How do you think things would be in Gaza if we'd elected Kamala Harris? I remember it was a key issue for many non-voters or 3rd party voters. So a year later, do you think it'd be the same as it is now? Worse?

Maybe, just maybe, better?

New Chess rules for 2025:

- king may move into check; no more protecting him from the consequences of his own actions
- Checkmate no longer ends the game; to win, you must actually KILL THE KING
- Counts as two wins if the king is killed by a pawn

I've been thinking about this post since I first saw it a couple days ago, and I don't think it's telling the right story.

Because the thing is, this has ALWAYS been the risk of democracy. Not just American democracy, but all forms and places. It does demonstrate that our guard rails were 1/?
And think
The republicans have managed to do this to us, to the world, in les than a year.

This is exactly where we're heading.
If the president can magically claim that drug runners are “narco-terrorists” to justify killing them, what’s to stop him from declaring democratic lawmakers as “political terrorists” or legally protesting American citizens as “agitator terrorists” to justify their murders?

Another reminder that Trump isn't unfit because he's old and sleepy, he's unfit because he does not respect his oath to serve the American people, and abuses laws and condones murder for personal gain.

Hegseth isn't unfit because he's an alcoholic, but because he's a incompetent and a war criminal.

I'm thinking coming to bsky was a mistake. I got more interaction on Facebook and Twitter, tho' both were pathetic. While the content is less toxic, that's only worth so much. If I want to consume, Tiktok is better for that. Social media's supposed to be interactive; if it's not, what's the point?

If a reasonable person would know the order is illegal, you MUST refuse.

Obedience is not absolute, duty to the Constitution is.

Oath is to defend the Constitution not a person

Yes. U.S. service members have a legal and moral obligation to disobey an illegal order.

Not just the right.
The DUTY.

Glad to see the recurring theme of fatphobia in the response to the Texas NG being deployed to Illinois... Because the fact that some of the weekend warriors are a bit chubby is *absolutely* the key point here, guys.

It's easier than recognizing our eroding democracy.

I am 46 years old. Elder millenial, baby Gen-X, Oregon Trail Generation. Old enough that I should be cynical, or at least philosophical, about humans.

That said, it still fucks with my head when I encounter random humans on the internet who lack basic courtesy or decency. Good chance it'll

Of all the shit stains that Trump has left on America's underwear, Pete Hegseth feels like the most insulting and in the top 5 most dangerous.

This feeling inspired by the reported "restoration" of the pro-Confederacy monument at Arlington.

Today is August 6th. 28 years ago today, I raised my hand and swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I boarded a plane and left my former life behind, and began life as a U.S. Servicemember. I didn't know (who could?) where it would lead, but in a life of (1/?)

Another one: Burn it all down is such a fucking privileged take.

Working within the system to change the system is hard, but at least people might actually survive that way. "Burn it down" means millions suffer and die, and there's still no guarantee that what follows will actually be better.

The projection here is astounding. I was enthusiastic in my support for Kamala, and devastated by her loss. I want her in the WHITE HOUSE, not the kitchen.

But I also want her to use her power to help us, even if she lost. Make no mistake, she's a black woman, but she's also a person with power.
You and your demographic already abandoned us we know you people will do it again because instead of democracy by any means you’re pissed u cant tell a Black Woman to go back to the kitchen SHUT the fuck up crying especially when we KNOW YOUR FAMILY VOTED FOR TRUMP
I would love to have seen you sworn in, but I'm disappointed in how quiet you've been since November. You had the platform, you had the power... why didn't you use it to fight what's going on?

It's not too late. Fight for us, and I'll vote for you again. If you can't do that, just quietly go away.
