I'm just here for some data / NUFC / horror / history / pol -sci related fun. A combination of all if possible. Don't take anything too seriously. Try and do it with a smile.

Outstanding "reliving my childhood for a quid" charity shop find today. I must've studied that 1987 #NUFC page so much. Was all incredibly familiar

Driving around the UK and met a lad serving in a coffee shop in Droitwich Spa wearing a #nufc t-shirt. 236 miles from home, makes me proud of my team, city, & people. Yeah I know there'll be mags in farther flung places - but this is rural Worcestershire man, very unexpected.

Now that I've heard the pronunciation of Waltemade I can't this out of my head. Going to do my nut in all day now, have to think of some replacement lyrics #Nufc

Wanted to like Get Away more than I did. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it up to a point, but I always had the sense that it should and could have been better - clips in the trailer were funnier than they were in the movie, so perhaps down to the editing? An "ok" horror comedy I suppose.

Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation

FWIW here’s a non-exhaustive list of inquiries into #CSE in last 12 yrs…

I thought it would be fun to watch Bram Stokers Dracula (1992) as a companion to Nosferatu. It was not fun. By comparison Nosferatu is a masterpiece in direction and storytelling. I known it was nigh on 30 years ago, but jeez that movie sucks (intended, thankyou).

Got to see #Nosferatu yesterday, and yep - its exactly what I expected, a gothic Dracula movie by Robert Eggers. Looked great, good performances, and gave agency to female lead. Not sure if it added anything to the genre though, and for me needed to dial the threat up a notch. Enjoyable enough.

"Four—eleven—seventeen—thirty-two the day before." Is this the creepiest use of a Kipling poem you've ever heard? #horror

Just watched The Dimplomat finale and I agree with the below: OMG. Allison Janney was absolutly amazing in her two episode stint. Hats off to all concerned 👍
Huge fan of The Diplomat and everyone in it.

Really enjoying this game, proper old fashioned cup football on a muddy pitch with tiny stands. You can smell the mix of bovril and deep heat coming from the tele #KETDON

Watched Jaws a few nights back, got me thinking as to whether it should be classified as a horror movie or not? Which other movies are borderline horror? Is this a (sub)genre of its own?

On a misty morning clifftop walk I spotted a spider building its web between the grass. Looks cool, yes - but worth the fright I got by finding the edge of the cliff under my feet? That spider lured me in, it knew what it was doing 🕷🕸📷😲
