I'm just in this cohort, probably had a slight received wisdom dislike for them for a bit. Obviously, they were brilliant. I do remember a moment in the 00s when all of a sudden,*everybody* thought Rumours was the best album ever. It was uncanny.
I'm not saying 'only people aged 47 to 55 think Fleetwood Mac are bad' - obviously people of all ages have different opinions. But only people in that v specific age group think that 'Fleetwood Mac are bad' is a common sense, commonplace opinion.

My feeling is that we have a shifted from Remembrance - of those that died, those that fought, the horrors of war, the horrors that lead to war

Since Kate Clanchy is back in the news again due to a misguided BBC podcast series about 'cancellation' - I feel it's worth mentioning that one of the writers actually harmed by that whole situation posted a tearful video to Instagram earlier stating she's already had hate mail from it.

Having watched this while thing unravel in real time, to see the BBC attempt to rewrite history in favour of the tearful white middle-class woman is very instructive
The BBC are dragging up the whole Kate Clanchy affair, four years later, with a SIX part podcast.
There is no public interest reason for this, and they are just going to retraumatise the victims: the people who criticised Clanchy.
