Because this government, like many previous ones, thinks that the whole of Britain is like Coronation Street or East Enders, with a pub at the centre of the community. Deluded and out of date.

🚨HOLY SHIT: Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego just confronted Mike Johnson as he walked by - and grilled him for “covering up” for predators by pushing Adelitta Grijalva’s swearing in.

This is how you confront COWARDS - with the truth and cameras rolling.

Pritzker: "He wants to militarize major cities because he wants us to get used to the idea of troops on the streets. I believe he's gonna post people outside of polling places and if he needs to in order to control those elections, he'll assume control of the ballot boxes & count the votes himself"

Lord Heseltine, "The number of people aged below 50 who think it was right for us to leave the European Union, is less than 20%

"The latest polls tells us 56% now believe it was mistake to leave the European Union"

Hands up if you are one of the 56% 🙋‍♂️

First steel, now pharmaceuticals. Looks like Starmer's quickie surrender deal with the USA was built on quicksand. Not even worth the paper it was printed on.

UAE has no democratically elected institutions, no free speech and an appalling human rights record.

Its economy functions on completely different metrics to the ours & ranks well below us for GDP

No serious person would ever think that we should emulate it.

But here's Tice calling us decadent

Sorry, but if you're saying those implausible and shallow Kemi Badenoch announcements constitute a good speech then you're part of the UK's political problem.

Same half-baked "tax cut good / international commitments bad" bearing no resemblance to well formed policy.

Labour have presided over a "doom loop of higher taxes, weaker borders and month after month of chaos" says Kemi Badenoch who was part of a government that raised taxes and immigration levels by record amounts, whilst changing leader no fewer than four times

Brexit divided the Tories but what’s going on now is about fracturing the rump into a large number of small pieces. A Black leader whose deputy says Black faces are too visible. You couldn’t make this stuff up.

Jenrick is just another milestone on the Tory Party's road of terminal decline.

If you think Kemi Badenoch is bad, just for a moment stop & think about the car crash it would be if this man was leading the Tories into the next GE!😱
Imagine it - Starmer, Farage & Jenrick the main options!🫣

Let’s hope the Greens & Lib Dem’s can work together🙏

Is this what they mean by a Brexit benefit? “Unethical and irresponsible waste imperialism.”

In 2023, EU agreed to ban exports of waste to poorer nations outside a group of mainly rich countries within the OECD for an initial 2.5 years - the UK has no such ambitions in place
UK plastic waste exports to developing countries rose 84% in a year, data shows
Campaigners say increase in exports mostly to Malaysia and Indonesia is ‘unethical and irresponsible waste imperialism’

LBC get better reporting out of Simon Marks than the BBC get out of an entire US-based reporting team. The BBC should be thoroughly ashamed of that. #wato @lbc.co.uk

The headline should read: Since 2020, Brits could be banned from the EU due to Brexit removing our status, freedoms, and opportunities as European citizens. Now it will be harder to cheat the 90/180 rule.

Also another example of the UK tabloids hating it when the EU takes 'control' of its borders
Brits could be banned from holiday homes under EU's 90-day rule
The EU has ordered member states to apply the 90/180-day rule 'rigidly', meaning Brits who overstay could be hit with hefty fines of up to £8,700 and even ten-year bans from entering the bloc.

Immigration Enforcement experienced significant budget cuts – funding fell by 23% in real terms between 2014/15 and 2020/21, according to Home Office accounts. Then this was reversed between 2021 and 2024.

Saying could quadruple removals - if wanted to - impossible without much more capacity + cost

The Conservatives have pledged they will increase the number of deportations to 150k/year

- while significantly reducing the size of the civil service
- without increasing government spending and taxation.
- and opposing mandatory identification.

Sen. Kennedy with another set of probing questions about Epstein 👇

KENNEDY: Have you interviewed Secretary Lutnick?

BONDI: No senator

K: Do you plan to?

B: If he wants to talk to the FBI--

K: Don't you think you ought to talk to him after this interview? Maybe we ought to get Lutnick in here
