Nick Watt, "It's not about saying did Russia influence the Brexit referendum"

Only Labour could run an investigation into foreign interference and ignore Russia's influence on Brexit 🤷‍♂️

Refusing to investigate Russian interference in the Brexit referendum
makes this investigation worthless 🤡

It was never looked into by Tories but documented by the excellent @carolecadwalla.bsky.social

Our democracy has never been safe in the hands of MPs see also May, Johnson and now Starmer
LibDem Calum Miller, "Will the review look back.. Including the 2014 and 2016 Referendums?"

Steve Reed, "It will be forward looking, there will be no relitigating of previous elections or referendum"

"There have been no findings that any elections to date were affected by foreign interference"

Some things the UK government *should* be doing:

• Make Leveson Part 2 happen.
• Release the Russia report in full.
• Aggressively pursue COVID fraudsters with criminal charges.
• Stem the flow of foreign money into UK politics.
• Ban the opaque funding of think tanks.
• Tax the rich.

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

There are lots of reasons not to leave ECHR. But apart from anything else, it just doesn't solve the problem the Tories/Reform think it does.

E.g. the Supreme Court judgment re Rwanda being unsafe explicitly said it was not based on ECHR.
