AN ACT Relating to prohibiting certain law enforcement agencies 2 from hiring certain federal employees; adding a new section to 3 chapter 10.93 RCW; creating a new section; and providing an effective date.4 5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON: 6 NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 10.93 RCW to read as follows:7 8 (1) A general authority Washington law enforcement agency or a 9 limited authority Washington law enforcement agency may not employ 10 any individual who was hired as a sworn officer of the United States 11 immigration and customs enforcement on or after January 20, 2025. 12 (2) This section applies prospectively only and does not apply to 13 any individual hired by the agency prior to the effective date of this section.14 15 NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. This act takes effect October 1, 2026. 16 NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. This act may be known and cited as the ICE 17 out act of 2026.

Any studio that says they're only using their own assets for an A.I. model is lying to you, likely intentionally.

Generative A.I. models require an insane amount of existing work to create anything that looks new and decent. Categorizing said data would take years.

I still have to use Windows for some things and it seems to be just about every day now I'm seeing complaints about it sucking in new ways. So here's a little list of tools I use to make Windows not suck by debloating virtually everything out of it that makes it bad and making it more usable. 🧵
Someone complaining that MS Paint removed itself then when they went to the Microsoft Store to install it, it says "The version of Windows on your PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements for this product."

The Nguyễn pronunciation question!
Person on Threads asks for help pronouncing my last name. My reply: The reason there are like eight different pronunciations of Nguyễn proffered to English speakers is because there are several sounds we know they can’t really hear, let alone repeat. So most of us kinda cobble together sounds we know they can make.

My hours at work have been cut to 8 hours per week, roughly $730/mo before taxes. I am actively applying for work elsewhere with no luck - retail, custodial, wearhouse packing and shipping, grocery. I am also autistic and looking for career assistance, I am on a waitlist about a year+ long. I have not been able to pay my share of rent ($1000/mo) for a while. I cover utilities (roughly $100-150 every other month), medicine ($95/mo), groceries and pet food ($150-200/wk), phone ($25/mo), and personal debts ($300/mo plus $153/mo to the IRS, usually $715/mo but have not been paying 2 debts since May 2025). I'm doing my best living as cheaply as possible, eating when I absolutely need to and skipping medication doses to stretch my prescriptions, and planning ahead. Commissions are open again as well as general work availability.
