Has anyone come across any resources they've found helpful in trying to cultivate these sorts of groups?

This definitely resonates with what I've been feeling (especially on the second point). I have found myself wondering a lot lately how having a close group of folks that get together consistently and with whom you can be more vulnerable with/accountable to might create opportunities for folks...

Wish we could draw more inspiration from those who've gone before us, rather than just the feeling that our best years are in the rear-view mirror. Digging into our "Wesleyan Vile-tality" this summer (and fall) really made me realize there's more potential than we think...

We refuse anything less as the destination. The future is one where every church is practicing and preaching the truth, the life, the freedom, and the blessing that is only reflected with full queer welcome, inclusion, affirmation, belonging, and leadership at every level.

Have the courage to say so. Have the willingness to exclude the intolerant beliefs and opinions while honoring the need to listen, learn, grow, influence, and teach. It's not about excluding individuals; it's about setting our doctrinal truth, our policies, our reason for being.

Leadership says they went rogue. They say they were acting with the knowledge (and perhaps even encouragement) of leadership. Sounds to me like they're all more concerned with avoiding accountability than with the work that needs doing...
