Supreme Court to weigh Trump's firing of FTC member in test of presidential power
It's a major test of presidential power over agencies set up to be insulated from White House control.

Israel’s next election must take place by the end of October. If Binyamin Netanyahu cannot convince enough voters that he won in Gaza, the long-serving prime minister will try to distract them with a culture war over the future of Israel’s democracy
Israel’s focus will shift to domestic politics
Israel must hold an election by the end of October 2026. Binyamin Netanyahu will fight yet another desperate campaign, whether war breaks out again or not

TOM COTTON: Well I saw lots of evidence of them standing on the boat that had been capsized

BERMAN: That wasn't my question. Did you see any evidence?

COTTON: No, I didn't

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.

It’s all a grift — Saudis to crypto to pardon seekers — everything gets turned into a revenue stream. With 1,500+ pardons already, clemency is a monetized market
