I don't think I was naive to think those contractors were relatively harmless in 2003. I also don't think it would be hyperbolic to regard that same exchange as far more ominous in the context of 2022. That's 100% on the GOP and the bigotry to which it's given permission.

A useful thread about the philosemitic antisemitism of the Christian right--IOW, an explanation for why their unqualified support of the Israeli state is totally consistent with their wish for a future in which Jews convert or perish.
If you have not actually studied dispensational premillennialist theology, the critical part to know is that even though Israel must exist for the "end times" checklist to begin, later steps of the checklist explicitly involve all Jewish people forcibly converted to Christianity or dead.

Just discovered that a raccoon is visiting my patio at night, drinking from my scenic water fountains & stealing food from my squirrel feeder.
Any experts out there who can tell me if I should dissuade such behavior or just let it ride?
From what I can gather they haven't damaged anything so far.
